Upcoming Releases: July

It's a new month, and it's time to look at some cool books that are coming our way in July.

The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 2: Fandemonuim by Kieron Gillen

21st

The second volume to The Wicked + The Divine series. I really want to read this because the first volume left me with a lot of questions, so I'm hoping some of the answers are in this one!

Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine

7th

Now this one... sounds SUPER interesting. It's a story where The Great Library of Alexandria has survived and is present in all major cities, controlling the flow of knowledge. I have no idea how that's going to go down, but it sounds amazing.

Armada by Ernest Cline

14th

This is a science fiction novel about a boy who plays a video game called Armada - and then the game comes to life.

Pretending to be Erica by Michelle Painchaud

21st

This a young adult thriller of sorts, where a girl named Violet and her father are going to extreme lengths to make Violet become Erica - an heiress kidnapped at age five and never seen again. Sounds like a really fun read.

Serafina and the Black Cloak by Robert Beatty

14th

First and foremost, how gorgeous is this cover? Anyway, this is a middle grade mystery book about an unusual girl who lives in the basement of a grand estate and cannot leave. But when children start disappearing, Serafina is the only one who knows who the culprit is.

What new books are you excited about for July?

  1. I've just begun following your blog, and I love it.
This is a great, concise list. I've ready The Wicked + the Divine, and I'm very excited about Ink & Bone and Serafina (the author lives near me, and I've visited the house where the book is set several times). Keep up the great work!

  2. I like these kind of blog posts - you keep me updated, haha! I would really like to read Ready Player One by Cline, 'cause everyone says it's awesome, and Armada sounds great too. Ink and Bone sounds like a book I would enjoy as well - it sounded just a little bit like The Shadow of the Wind by Zafon. And the last one ... wow, beautiful cover!!

  3. I'm incredibly excited for Armada—I have been waiting for this book ever since I read Ready Player One last year :) I'm also looking forward to re-visiting The Wicked + The Divine (I read most of the issues in this volume as they came out) because I just love this comic book series.
