FAQ

There are some questions that pop up quite frequently, so here are the answers.

Where do you buy books?
I buy most of my books from The Book Depository (international) and Adlibris (Scandinavian). I also buy books in bookstores, my favourite Norwegian ones being Norli, Ark and Outland. I also have a great love for Foyles and Persephone Books in London.

What camera do you use?
I use a Nikon D800 with a 50mm 1.4 lens and a tripod. I edit my images in Photoshop and edit videos in Final Cut X on a MacBook Pro.

I also usually use my iPhone XR for photos on Instagram, as well as an Olympus EM-10 Mark II with a 14-40 mm lens/50mm lens for travel photos/videos and vlogs.

Are you an affiliate?
Yes! I am an affiliate for The Book Depository (affiliate link), which means I earn a small commission if you buy something through one of my links. All posts with affiliate links are marked, as well as the actual links, so you know what you're clicking.

Are you on Goodreads/can I friend you?
Yes, I am on Goodreads! And of course, I would love to be your friend! You can come find me here.

Show us your bookshelf!
You can find the bookshelf tour I did on my YouTube channel from late summer of 2018 here.

What does it mean when a posts is marked sponsored/ad?
According to Norwegian law, whenever a social media producer/influencer is paid to write a post/make a video/produce any sort of content, that content has to be marked as either sponsored or as an ad. Now, what this usually means is that you've been paid in the product you're talking about, so a company has sent you a product for free and the product itself is your "payment", but it can also include being paid actual money as well.

When it comes to this blog, I mark all content as sponsored/ad if I've been sent anything for free, and I always try to disclose what kind of sponsorship it refers to, like for instance; if I've been sent a book for free, it will say "sponsored: book sent for free (by publisher/author)." Usually when it comes to books, I'm sent them without any guidelines as to what I'm supposed to do with them, i. e. it's usually sent with the hope that I will mention it somewhere on social media and what I choose to make (or not make) is entirely up to me.

If I'm ever paid by a company and they have requested me to produce certain content, I will always disclose this. I will always be honest in my opinions of any sort of product I've been sent, whether it's a book or something else. I never accept anything if I'm not allowed to be honest about it and I always let whatever companies I work with know that. I do not do paid sponsorships/ads or offer discount codes if I don't think the product is to be recommended. This goes for all my social media content.

All affiliate links are also always marked.
If you have any concerns or questions about my sponsored content, don't hesitate to contact me.
