Review:
I just have to start off by saying that I had very high hopes for this book, and though I wasn't disappointed, I wasn't blown away either.

I felt like this book is meant to be a lot more shocking than I experienced it to be. There are a lot of statistics in here that are pretty awful, but I already knew of. Therefore it didn't feel like it was adding anything new to my personal ideas about the subject.

There were parts of this I definitely enjoyed, especially the first essay. I especially lost interest in the part that deals with Virginia Woolf and Susan Sontag. It made the book feel a little all over the place.

I think this would make a good book for people who are new to reading about feminism, and I think perhaps especially enlightening for men who are perhaps not as understanding about this subject.
