This is the second book in The Selection series. You can check out my review of the first one here.

As this is the second book in a trilogy, this review will contain some spoilers.

Summary:
Six girls out of thirty-five girls remain in the competition to win the heart of the Prince of Illéa. The people call them The Elite. And while the rest of the girls know exactly what they want and are very willing to fight for it, America is still torn between the old, safe love of Aspen and the new, exciting love of Maxon.

Review:
These books are such a guilty pleasure for me, and the reason both The Selection and this only get 3 stars is because they're not particularly original, the writing isn't amazing, and nothing is really all that surprising. However, these have a really high enjoyment factor if you're in the mood for it.

This book is, as the first one, easy to read and easy to follow. I really liked how we got to see a little more of the society they live in, although most of the plot is still about the competition.

The love triangle is still present, though I felt like America was really leaning towards one side, and I'm pretty sure I know where it's all going to end up.

A very enjoyable read, and if you liked the first book, you're going to like this one too.
