UPCOMING RELEASES:
SEPTEMBER

September is one of my favorite months and there are so many exciting new books coming out these next few weeks, which makes it even better!

Sadie by Courtney Summers
4th
This is a mystery novel about a girl who has raised her sister all alone in a small isolated town and whose world is torn to pieces when her little sister is found dead. I'm really intrigued by this book, and I also really like the cover (often with mystery novels, it's all black, but I like this type of cover art way better).

The Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton
20th
Morton's books are always so enjoyable, so I'm very excited about this one. True to Morton's usual style, this is set both in the past and the present and we're trying to solve this mystery of what happened to a group of artists in the summer of 1862.

Transcription by Kate Atkinson
18th
Atkinson is one of those authors I feel like I totally adore, but I've never actually read any of her books. This is her newest and it takes a look at the repercussions of one woman's espionage work during the Second World War.

Leave No Trace by Mindy Mejia
4th
This is a mystery thriller set in the wilderness of Minnesota and it's about a father and son who went into the forest ten years ago but never came out. Search parties found their camp ravaged by what appeared to be a bear and everyone thinks both of them are dead, until ten years later when the son appears. He's mentally unstable and put into a psychiatric facility where he meets Maya, a language therapist trying to find out what has really happened.

She Would Be King by Wayetu Moore
11th
This cover is gorgeous! It's a historical fiction novel with a bit of magical realism and it reimagines the dramatic story of Liberia's early years. It follows three main characters who share an uncommon bond and it just sounds amazing.
