Review:
I have to admit, when the publisher reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to read this, I accepted it because it's set in the 1920's and it's absolutely gorgeous; I didn't quite realise it was YA, which we all know is not my favorite genre.

I did end up enjoying this more than I thought I would. I think the setting of it is amazing; I loved the little village and the idea of this grand mansion by the sea. I think the book captures the era really well and I loved reading about that. I also really enjoyed reading about the main characters family. I generally quite like all the characters, even if they're not all particularly well developed.

It is, however, still a romance novel in a lot of ways, which I generally do not enjoy reading. It's pretty predictable right off the bat and I just didn't really care about that part of the story.

I do think I would've loved this when I was in my teens though. It's the perfect level of melodramatic and it's extremely entertaining. I think if you like young adult romances, this will be the perfect read for you.
