Review:
This was an excellent read and really engrossing.

This is my first novel by this author and the thing that stands out to me the most is how the characters are written; they're complicated and interesting, and they feel fully fleshed out and well crafted. We read from three perspectives in this novel and I really enjoyed reading all of them and getting to know the characters and their lives.

This is a story of obsession and it's the kind of book where you really feel like you're discovering pieces of the puzzle along with the characters. It's set against the backdrop of Stockholm in winter, which makes for a somewhat depressing but appropriate setting.

I'd say this is the kind of book that focuses mostly on the characters and that's where this book shines. The plot and the murder mystery drives them all forward and it's interesting, but the characters are really what you end up caring about. For someone like me who prefers characters over plot, I thought that was great.

I enjoyed the mystery and the reveal at the end was surprising but not wholly original. In all, I thought this was well written, exciting and fascinating. I'll definitely be reading more from this author!
