Review:
So, I had weirdly high expectations for this book; several people have recommended it to me and it was just one of those books I really thought I was going to love. That didn't really happen though.

There are things I like about this book and this story; I think the writing style is really good, although maybe a bit too whimsical sometimes, I liked the setting and I think our main character is interesting, even though I had a bit of a hard time always connection to or understanding her. She offers an interesting perspective on the story though; she's an astrologer and looks at the world a bit differently than everyone around her.

What I struggled the most with in this was the plot; there's a lot of buildup and a lot of it felt slow and a little uninteresting to me. There's a mystery in here, but I never felt particularly engaged in it or that curious as to what had happened. It just didn't really entice me. When we got to the resolution part of the story, although I was a little surprised by the outcome, I don't know if I really cared all that much.

Overall, not my favorite book but definitely not a bad book at all.
