As this is a book in a series, this review might contain spoilers.

Summary:
After having bound the powers of the realms to herself, Gemma finds herself unable to enter them again, but she must do it soon, to unite all the peoples and bring peace to the realms.

Review:
I have trucked my way through this and finally finished this series.

I still love the characters and the world it's set in. I especially enjoy getting to know more about the magical world, and all the mystery and intrigue that comes with it. In this book we go really deep into the magic, which was awesome.

My complaint about this is that it's very long and at times, a lot of things feel unnecessary. I think this is because all I wanted to read about was the magical realms, not all this other stuff about suitors and balls and all that (which I think is interesting in small doses, but I felt there was a bit of overload in this).

Overall, this is quite an enjoyable series. If you like historical fiction and magic, this is for you.
