Review:
This one didn't do a whole lot for me, unfortunately.

I've read several of Kawakami's books now, one of which is one of my all time favorite books, and I always love her writing style and the ambience of her stories. I like how characters are drawn up and how we feel like we get to know them, even if we don't spend that much time with each of them.

In this one though, I felt like the story was too fragmented and we kept being introduced to new characters and I felt like the book repeated itself a lot. I wasn't all that intrigued by the man the story focuses on and so when every chapter and every new perspective was just about that, I found myself a little disinterested.

So not a new favorite, sadly, but I'm always happy to try anything this author has written, so I'm glad I read it.
