Review:
This one started off really well, but tapered off a bit for me, unfortunately.

I very much enjoyed the first part of this book, in which we get to know the four siblings and look back at their parents and their upbringing. I really loved getting to know the characters so intimately and I was very invested in the story, up until we second part where we get to the party and things suddenly felt really all over the place. More characters are introduced, few of which have any real bearing to the story, and it just got kind of messy.

I did also really enjoy the setting of this book though; Malibu in the 80's is brought to life vividly and wonderfully. I also do quite like the writing style, especially how it invokes the inner lives and feelings of the characters. I just wish it hadn't lost me at the end there.

Overall though, this was a nice, summery read.
