August is here once again and here are some books coming out this month!
Rust & Stardust by T. Greenwood

This is a historical fiction novel and it sounds really disturbing. It's inspired by a true story and it's about an eleven year old girl who is abducted by a 52 year old man and the book chronicles their two years together. Chilling, to say the least.
The Masterpiece by Fiona Davis

I can never resist a cover with 1920's vibes, so this immediately caught me eye when I first saw it. It's one of those books that follows two different storylines in two different time periods, but they're somehow connected and one of the things that does that is the Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
A Ladder To The Sky by John Boyne

This is a literary fiction novel set in Ireland and it's about a writer who will stop at nothing to reach the top, even if it means telling stories that are not his to tell.
If You Leave Me by Crystal Hana Him

This is a historical fiction novel about two ill-fated lovers in Korea and the heartbreaking choices they have to make in the middle of the civil war. It sounds just like the kind of book I would like, although I have a feeling it's going to break my heart.
A River of Stars by Vanessa Hua
14th
This is a contemporary literary fiction novel about a pregnant Chinese woman who makes her way to California in pursuit of the American Dream. It's a debut and has themes of motherhood, immigration and identity which sounds pretty fantastic to me.
