Review:
This was a pretty quick and engrossing read.

There are a lot of things I loved about this book; the world it's set in is amazing and the story is filled to the brink with history and lore and it somehow manages to have all of that without it ever feeling overwhelming. The magic in this is also excellent; I loved reading about the main characters ability to weave moonlight into tapestries, as well as seeing the magic of other characters. There's also, and this may sound weird, a lot of food in this book and for some reason that worked really well and I loved it.

I think this is definitely well written in a lot of ways and it felt for the most part like a well paced story. It's easy to read and there's definitely something compelling about the story that makes you want to keep going. I also think there are a lot of themes in this that are worth thinking about and reading about.

I think the characters in here are interesting, but I didn't feel a strong connection to any of them and they didn't feel like anything really special to me; it felt very much like I'd met them before in other stories because they're like a lot of characters in other stories (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but that made it a little less of an interesting read to me). I also thought the dialogue felt a little off from time to time and a lot of the plot is pretty predictable.

I think if you're a fan of YA though, this is an excellent book to read.
