Review:
This was an incredibly interesting book to read.

When I started this, I really could not get on with the writing style. It's pretty intense, unfiltered, unpolished and got increasingly angry. The further I got into the book though, the more I got it. Of course she angry and of course she is fully entitled to be whatever she wants to be.

I think this is an important book and an important story to tell, because not only is it about one woman's experience, it shows us how the whole system (the cult) she was in is totally messed up. It's easy to forget for those of us on the outside of it, but really, all women experience some form of this in our current society. Sometimes the story goes off ranting a bit and the style is a bit off on occasion, but it's still, at its core, a vital, heartbreaking and amazing story.

It's almost revolutionary to see a woman so unapologetically call people out on their bullshit and I think it's important for women to do that (those who can). For that, I think this book is fantastic. It's inspirational and empowering in it's brutality, rawness and imperfection.
