Review:
I thought this book was really exciting.

I very much enjoyed the first book in this series, The Dry, but I have to say I liked this even more. Harper is excellent at creating atmosphere and the forest in this story feels both magnificent and creepy. You can almost feel the cold, rain and claustrophobic darkness of the bush.

I liked the characters in this more than the previous one, although some of them could've used a little more work and it took me a while to remember who was who of the women in the forest. The suspense in this book is what gets you though. The story switches between present time told through the eyes of Falk and the days spent in the forest, told through the eyes of all the different women. The ambience is fantastic and you really just want to keep reading.

Overall, I thought this was a fantastic mystery thriller filled with all the right things; interesting people, tension, atmosphere and surprise.
