Review:
I'm very impressed by this book and I really, really liked it.

I do think this collection starts off a little bit wavering, but towards the middle it gets more sure of itsself. I loved the themes the author brings up in her poems, especially that of home and art. The writing style reminds me of Rupi Kaur, who is one of my favorite poets.

One of my favorite poems from the collection is this one from page 82:

last night i whispered
a thank you to the universe
for it made oceans and stars
equally beautiful and accessible
for all of us; i breathe the same air
as the people i love and the people i lose
the particles of their existence are still
surrounding me and this is how loneliness
doesn't know how to find me alone

There are also drawings scattered throughout the collection that I feel like complimented the collection well. Overall, well worth the read for people who like modern poetry.
