Review:
Wow, this one really impressed me.

I think this was just such a great read. Although it takes a little while to get going, I loved getting to know the characters in here and reading about them, I loved seeing them get to work on this case and the mystery in here is a strong one; difficult to figure out and bringing loads of surprises along the way. All of this makes for a very strong crime novel in my opinion.

The main character is a misogonistic and arrogant man who loves to provoke people; he's not at all a likeable character but it was both entertaining and interesting to read about him. He's struggling a lot, overwhelmed by grief because of a personal tragedy, and he is somewhat self-aware but unable to stop himself from being a world class asshole. He's not a person I'd like to be around, but the kind of character who is fascinating to read about.

By the time I had gotten halfway through this book, I couldn't put it down and just had to finish, which is definitely the mark of a good mystery novel. I thought the resolution of this was fantastic and I literally gasped when I read the final page, which it's been a very long time since I've done.

I immediately ordered the next book in this series and I can't wait for it to get here so I can continue reading. If you like Nordic noir mysteries, this is a great one and I'd really recommend it.
