BOOK REVIEW:
FLYING TOO HIGH BY KERRY GREENWOOD

Title: Flying Too High
Author: Kerry Greenwood
Published: 1990
Language: English
Pages: 158
Rating: 3/5

This is the second book in the Phryne Fisher series.

Summary:
While settling down in Melbourne as a private investigator and creating quite a reputation for herself, Phryne Fisher takes on the case of a murder and a kidnapping.

Review:
I really enjoyed this book, though perhaps not quite as much as the first one (but it's not off by far).

Again, Phryne is the star of the show and I adore her. She's wild, free and independent and does whatever suits her, which is quite refreshing. She's also kind and incredibly clever, which redeems her from being annoying.

The mysteries in this story are pretty good, although I definitely preferred the murder mystery. I found the resolution to the kidnapping case a bit too over the top and that is what has made me give this three stars instead of four.

Otherwise though, I enjoyed this so very much and I can't wait to read the next one.
