Review:
This was a really lovely and interesting read.

You might think you know forests and trees on a general level, but this offers up a much larger picture of it and debunks some common misconceptions. It kind of blew my mind, but in a quiet and slow sort of way. The author conjures up the trees almost like people, and because of that you connect with them in a way that is a bit unusual, but fascinating nonetheless.

For a science book, this is highly accessible, and I'd definitely recommend it if you're interested in nature at all. There's loads of information in this, but it's told in such a calm and tranquil way, this feels almost like a meditation on trees, which I found to be quite delightful.
