Review:
This is kind of like a reread for me, as I've read the original of this, but I thought I'd do a little review of this nonetheless, seeing as this is a little different.

I really enjoyed rereading this story in this format. I thought the artwork was absolutely brilliant and the use of color is amazing, especially the use of red throughout. There's something really powerful in seeing these women dressed in red against this abysmal backdrop. I also really liked how the illustrator has drawn the Waterfords, as they were very similar to how I imagined them the first time I read this.

The story itself has been shortened down a little bit, which I totally get, but I do wish it had had a little bit more of the story in it and that it was a little bit longer. I also can't help but compare it a little bit to another visual version of this that I've seen, the TV-series, and I felt like there was some diversity missing in this.

Overall though, I feel like this is perfect if you want to reread the book with some stunning artwork!
