I love short story collections and want to read more, so here are another five from my TBR.
Vampires in the Lemon Grove by Karen Russell
Who can resist a book with this title? This is a bit of fantasy and magical realism and that's really all I need.
Meet Me in the Moon Room by Ray Vukcevich
This collection is supposed to be, like the cover, a bit weird. But I love weird stories, so I really think this is going to be something I like.
St. Lucy's Home For Girls Raised by Wolves by Karen Russell
A bit ghostly, a bit magical, this is another strange one involving wolf-like girls, families wrestling alligators and girls sail away on crab shells.
The Enchanted Wanderer and Other Stories by Nikolai Leskov
I've been trying to read more Russian fiction, so I thought perhaps a short story collection could be nice to read too. This has princes, gypsies and monks and is supposedly beautifully written.
Reader, I Married Him: Stories Inspired by Jane Eyre
This is a collection of different stories by different authors, all inspired by Jane Eyre. I love Jane Eyre and I've heard good things, so I really want to check it out for myself.
Do you have any short story collections on your TBR?
