The new year has started and the publishing world is back in full swing. Here are five books I'm excited about this month!
This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp
5th
This is a contemporary novel about a terror attack on a school. Sounds horrifying but important.
All The Birds In The Sky by Charlie Jane Anders
26th
This is a fantasy, science fiction novel about a couple of friends who reunite after parting ways under mysterious circumstances in high school. This has magic, an academy and a world falling apart. And if it's anything like the cover, it's bound to be amazing.
The Swans of Fifth Avenue by Melanie Benjamin
26th
This is a historical fiction novel about the society "swans" of the 1950's. It's set in New York, which is one of my favorite settings, so it sounds like something I would love.
The Mystery of Hollow Places by Rebecca Podos
26th
The is a young adult mystery book about a family, where the father suddenly leaves to find the mother, and the daughter decides to go after them.
Fallen Land by Taylor Brown
12th
Firstly, how gorgeous is this cover? This is a story set during the Civil War and is the story of a young thief and Ava, a starving child.
