Top 5: Modern Classics I Want To Read II

There are just so many of these Modern Classics by Penguin that I want to read, so here are another five! You can check out the first five here.

Siddhartha by Herman Hesse

I want to read this because it deals with philosophy and buddhism, two topics which I am very interested in. Also, it's about a man finding himself, which is always fascinating.

A Clockworks Orange by Anthony Burgess

No, I haven't read it. Yes, I should. So here it is!

All I know about this book is that it's science fiction dystopia and everyone seems to love it.

The Waves by Virginia Woolf

I recently read To The Lighthouse by Woolf and had very mixed feelings about it. I want to give the author another go though, and I've heard such great things about this one.

The Crucible by Arthur Miller

Superstition, madness and paranoia that all ends in terrifying violence? Sounds fascinating to me!

The Enchanted April by Elizabeth von Arnim

Four women with very different histories travel to Italy and fall under the country's spell. Supposedly, this is funny and insightful. It also has such a beautiful title, I just have to read it.

Let me know if you've read any of these and what you thought!
