Upcoming Releases: August

Summer is coming to an end, but before that, we have some exciting new books coming our way.

The Wolf Wilder by Katherine Rundell

25th

This is a middle grade historical fiction novel about a girl who goes with her wolves on a rescue mission across the Russian wilderness, which sounds quite unique!

Reawakened by Colleen Houck

11th

This is a young adult fantasy book about a girl who goes to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and finds a live Egyptian prince that she helps on an epic quest. A mix of mythology, fantasy and adventure? Yes please!

The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness

27th

A new book from our most beloved Patrick Ness, this is the story of the people who aren't The Chosen One, the story of the rest of us. I bet this is going to be amazing.

Nelly Dean by Alison Case

13th

This is a reimagined Wuthering Heights told through the eyes of the servant, Nelly Dean. I haven't read Wuthering Heights yet, but I will definitely read this one after I have.

Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray

25th

FINALLY!!! The second book in The Diviners series! If you are unaware, this series is set in New York in the 1920's and follows characters who are Diviners; they have different magical skills. The main character, spunky Evie O'Neill can read the past by touching objects. If you haven't read the first book yet, The Diviners, you should get on that!

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS! GAH!

  1. The Wolf Wilder caught my eye, too. That cover *__* and the story sounds real sweet. I used to read a lot of books about wolves when I was younger so this will be a nice travel back in time.
I'm mostly looking foward to The Rest of Us... and Another Day by David Levithan. Two of my favourite authors :D

Reawakened sounds pretty cool but I'd be careful. I tried to read Tiger's Curse by the author once and it was so awful I didn't even finish it.

Yay for Lair of Dreams FINALLY being released. I'll wait until the rest of the series is out though because I keep forgetting what happened in the previous books when I have to wait that long for the sequel.
