Review:
It's not that often that I enjoy the second book in a trilogy more than the first one, but this is the case with Shadow of the Night. I really liked that this book was centred more on the main characters personal growth than the romance aspect of the story (thought it's still there and very present).

What I loved most about this book was the setting though, I loved seeing 1590's London and it's society of magical creatures. I just find this magical world so fascinating!

I liked that we get to know the characters even better in this book, and we discover more of their secrets. I also wasn't really bothered by the romance, as I felt like it was as realistic as that relationship is going to get.

Though it is a bit slow at times, I very much enjoyed this book. I'm quite excited to read the final one!

I would recommend this series if you like magic and historical fiction.
