Review:
This was a sweet and short story, and quite enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the first part where we get to know Hope's mother and follow her through her childhood.
I felt some connection to the characters, but I couldn't get completely invested in any of them, which was a little sad. I felt like a lot of the more emotional parts of this story didn't quite reach me because of it.
The writing is good and easy to follow. The story is a little predictable and quite conventional and tied up very nicely in the end. A little too nicely for my taste.
It is, however, very well suited if you want a quick read for the hectic Christmas time!
